Discover the joyous fun of the original swing dance, Lindy Hop! We start from the very beginning and make this class series accessible to everyone, regardless of experience. Get ready to have a whole lot of fun!

Pre-req NONE Tempo: 120-145 beats per minute

LINDY 2A, 2B, 2C

Improve your fundamentals from Lindy 1 and expand your assortment of moves. Additional turns and Charleston patterns while upping your lead/follow skills and ability to intermix timings. 2a, 2b, and 2c can be taken in any order. Different material in each series!

Pre-req Lindy 1  Tempo: 125-155 beats per minute.


You have become comfortable with the material from the lindy 2 series.  Timing and styling variations are explored along with deeper partnering concepts. Classes are themed each session. Pre-req: Completion of Lindy 2A, 2B, and 2C or instructor permission 

Lindy 3: Musicality

Connect new and familiar steps with the music.  We will social dance a variety of elements and then put them all together into one routine to the Lionel Hampton classic, “Flying Home.”  This class will help unlock basic musical structures and improve your ear for different elements of swing music.

Lindy 3: All Tempos

Discover material and explore lindy at a wide range of tempos. Slow and groovy, fast and ferocious, we’ll work both ends of the spectrum. This series will prepare you for any swingin’ tempo the social dance can bring.


You are looking to form your own “global lindy hop concept.”  How does this dance work?  Details and ideas that will keep you up at night! Class is themed each session.

Pre-req: Lindy Hop 3 at least two times or instructor permission.  Tempo:  100-270 beats per minute

Lindy 4: Pump Up the Jam

Swing hard, look good, blow minds and cheer each other on!  We will work on a variety of jam formats including partner, ensemble, and solo.   Slow to fast, swing to stomp, get ready to let loose!



Explore the fun of solo swing, boogie, and Charleston steps.  Classic and  “new classic” routines are broken down in accessible ways.

Solo Jazz: Swing It Stomp

It’s the new classic!  Expand your solo vocabulary with this original solo routine.  Get ready to tear up the floor to Jimmy Dorsey and his Orchestra’s “King Porter Stomp.”

It’s the golden era of jazz and you’re the star! Learn a fun solo routine with Katie & Special Guest Instructor, Robin Nunnally. Fun and dynamic stylings for everyone!

Intro to Airsteps

Discover the fundamental elements of airsteps in this introductory workshop. Learn the techniques to "spot" safely.

Invite a friend to register for the full lindy 1 series and you can take it with them for free! Class Helpers must be willing to dance either role to balance out the class.

Lindy 4: Just For You

We know your dancing. Get ready to break it all down and build it back up. Plan on lots of individual feedback with very specific elements for you to focus on.

Get ready to greatly expand your solo jazz vocabulary. Discover how to put a variety of steps and stylings into the classic routine, The Shim Sham.
