Happy Birthday to the Ambassador of Lindy Hop, Frankie Manning!

It would be no understatement to say that Frankie's teachings form the basis for everything we do at Swing It Seattle. EVERYTHING.

This is most obviously seen in the steps & stylings we teach. More important still is the philosophy around how we teach. Frankie emphasized rhythm, partnership, and the music. We do our best to emphasize the same.

Beyond that, Frankie conveyed that there was a deep and important history connected to this dance. Frankie wanted us to know where the dance came from! Sharing lindy hop authentically goes hand-in-hand with presenting the context in which it developed.

There's so much more to say about Frankie... I can go on and on!
